As I sit here in my room watching Whale Wars. With my best buddy in the world next to me.

I can't express how happy I am in mere words, or to tell you just how excited I am! To know that you've helped out the whales so much, by helping Sea Shepherd.

Admiral Paul Watson is a great man, who does great things. I think of you as a great humanitarian as I do him also. Because I honestly believe that by saving whales. We are somehow also saving ourselves.

I don't have any proof of course, but I believe our destinies are intertwined. I always have ever since I visited the whaling museum in New Bedford Mass when I was in middle school. I feel our relationship is symbiotic, just like with our canine friends. :)

BTW I said I was watching w/ my best bud, and I am. His name is BoBo, and here's a gorgeous Belgian Sheepdog (Groenendael, or Chien de Berger Belge) who I rescued from a lady who couldn't handle his high strung personality, which I just happen to absolutely adore.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Mr. Bob Barker! And god bless you for caring about our animal friends. You sir are a genuinely great human being, and will never be forgotten by us animal lovers, EVER!

Hi Bob

This will take just a small amount of your time. Let me explain I work for a small community in central Oklahoma. We are located one mile from a University. Over The past three years we have found that several dogs and cats per year are being dumped in our town. This is a very small Town with a limited budget, we are without an animal shelter and are in need of one. If this is something you may be able to help us with please call or have a representative call.

Thank You

Hi Bob

Would be very honored if you had any time to be a spokesperson for our non-profit organization next time you are in Springfield, Missouri. We are a foster home for the animals of abused children. We have been working for years to keep the pets healthy and return them to health when shelters contact us. I would love to talk to you as we are currently trying to get our state license to take in the children of hospitalized parents. I am also a graduate of Drury University. God Bless.

Mr. Barker, I watched "The Price Is Right" every chance I could get growing up. It was usually on when I was at school, so my mom would tape it for me. Now, I am an artist, 29, and I incorporated an image of you from the show into one of my paintings. It's kind of like "The Price is Right" in outer space. I hope you enjoy it.

Hello Bob:
I am witing today, not for myself per se, but for the animals at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter and a fundraiser event in October.
I know what an animal rights advocate you are, as am I, and I am hoping you can help out with a donation to the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.
We have finally broken ground on a new state of the art shelter in Palm Springs ...completion should be in approximately one year. It has been a long process but construction funding is in place with one caveat ...a shortfall of $1.5 million.
I am a private citizen and resident in Palm Springs and I plan to host a Fundraiser event at the Lodge in my development - Four Seasons Palm Springs, on October 23 to raise funds toward this shortfall.
The existing animal shelter today was built in 1961, it is too small, poorly designed and has had little or no renovation in these past 50 years. Finally an area is being set up so that volunteers can walk the dogs. The dogs are crated 5 to a crate oftentimes, so if you get a shy little guy in there, he just cowers in the corner he is so intimidated. The cats are constantly getting sick and need medical care because of poor air circulation throughout the building.
The new facility is much needed and we the community are involved in getting these extra funds so that the new 19,000 sq ft building can have solar throughout and complement the architect's vision of a "green" building.
Our 4 legged friends deserve better - they need a temporary home where they are comfortable in the transition to a new more permanent adoptive home.
I hope you can see your way to making a donation to this truly worthwhile cause....and if you are in the Palm Springs area on this date (Sat - Oct 23), it would be terrific if you could join us. I do, however, understand if you cannot, you are a busy man.
My email address is as above....and I can provide you with further details or information on the architect's "green" vision for the new facility.
Thank you for caring Bob....
Respectfully,

Elsa E. Pyne

How can a group contact Mr. Barker for a fund raiser for a local animal shelter?

We have a shelter that is among the 'lowest kill' facilities but it is poorly funded (the city has no interest) and the POA said that they cant afford to...

A member of the POA board and myself, a member of the Townhouse Association board want to raise funds and awareness for this shelter.

Thanks !
