All my life I could not wait for summers and snow days to watch The Price is Right. Bob Barker is a big part of my life and I feel sorry for whomever is going to try to fill his shoes. Bob, enjoy your retirement. You have given so much pleasure and fun to the lives of millions. “Come on down!” will never be the same without you.

Bob, this is gonna be a life changing era for many of people that love you and the joy you bring everyone daily, and of course I never made it to “come on down”! It reminds me when Johnny Carson left the tonight show. He was a legend that could’nt be replaced like you! He use to do a scene about “What will they do? What will they do? Now I’m wondering what will we do? without you? It’s not going to be easy, waking up in the morning and not being able to see you. My two daughters grew up with you too, they’re saying Mom what will you do? But just remember how much you are loved and admired. Have a wonderful life! Sincerely Donna (retired unofficial Barker Beauty)

If anyone has a picture of the people “sleeping” in line on the sidewalk as my daughter and I did May 17th, please email it to me at jfheadrick@charter.net.
We were in the audience that day and it was worth every uncomfortable moment we spent staying up all night on that sidewalk!

I have watched you since I was very young. I started watching you when you were on Truth or Consequences. I was 8 when I started watching you. I now am 59. I had the privileged to see you in your studio, “The Price is Right” in 2004. It was my dream for all my life. My husband & I drove from Ohio just to see you. It was worth every mile. Bob, have a wonderful retirement. You will be sadly missed.

I had the great honor to meet you in person in about 1971 where I was employed at KPRC-TV, the NBC affiliate, in Houston, TX. If I’m not mistaken you were there representing the Pillsbury Bake-Off.
You were soooo handsome then and today you are equally as handsome. You have a fantastic personality, dignity, graciousness, intelligence and sense of humor. You are an example of a perfect gentleman. I have loved watching you all these years and will greatly miss you.
God Bless you in your retirement. Have FUN!!!

    Hello Bob,

My husband and I are organizing a Poker Run for the Liberty Humane Shelter in Hinesville, GA - Home of the 3rd Infantry Division. The funds are needed tremendously, especially since our brave troops have returned to the Iraqi battle grounds to defend our freedom. Many of those soldiers have left animals behind and our shelter is overflowing and in great need of a new building. Since my husband is a passionate motorcyclist he thought what better way to raise funds than with a poker run. We have received a great response from our community, as well as neighboring Savannah, GA and expect an awesome turn-out. The Poker Run takes place on Saturday, August 25th. We are huge fans of yours, and the work you have done concerning animals, and wanted to ask you if you could attend. I know that it’s outrageous to ask this of you but I believe it never hurts to inquire. Sometimes the most outrageous requests are really not so outrageous at all. If you could see how dire our need is you would understand our plight. I would GREATLY appreciate a response either way. No matter the response, we will continue to be dedicated fans to you. By the way, I am working on getting a mandatory spay/neuter law implemented for the State of Georgia!!!

    God bless,
    Petra Brooks
